How to learn english typing offline in your computer with english typing practice

Offline English typing Course with Sonvirtech

In this article, I will show you how to learn English typing with a speed of 40 wpm minimum. Here is an outline of steps you can take to learn fast typing in English before starting English typing practice:

You have to keep these things in your mind before learning English typing:-

  1. Understand the keyboard layout: Before you start typing, familiarize yourself with the QWERTY keyboard layout. This will help you know the location of each key and develop muscle memory.

  2. Practice with online typing programs: There are numerous online programs that you can use to practice typing. They often provide lessons, exercises, and games that can help you improve your typing speed and accuracy. Some popular ones are Ratatype, typing.comTypingClub, Keybr, and Nitrotype etc.

  3. Set a goal for yourself: Decide on a specific typing speed goal that you want to achieve. This could be in terms of words per minute (WPM) or keystrokes per minute (KPM). Having a clear goal in mind will motivate you to work towards it.

  4. Practice regularly: Consistency is key when it comes to learning to type quickly. Try to practice for at least 15-30 minutes each day, even if it’s just a quick exercise.

  5. Focus on accuracy: While speed is important, accuracy is equally important. Ensure you’re hitting the right keys and not making too many mistakes. This will help you develop good typing habits.

  6. Use proper typing technique: Position your fingers on the home row keys (ASDF JKL;) and use the correct fingers for each key. Avoid looking at the keyboard while typing, as this can slow you down.

  7. Take breaks: Typing can be physically and mentally tiring. Take regular breaks to rest your hands and eyes, and come back to practice when you’re feeling refreshed.

  8. Track your progress: Keep track of your typing speed and accuracy over time. This will help you see your improvement and motivate you to continue practicing.

  9. Use proper posture: Sit up straight and keep your feet flat on the ground. Place your keyboard at a comfortable distance from your body and adjust the height of your chair so that your arms are parallel to the ground.
  10. Type from memory: Try to type without looking at the keyboard. This will help you develop muscle memory and improve your typing speed.
  11. Learn common words and phrases: Memorize commonly used words and phrases so you can type them quickly and accurately. This will help you increase your typing speed and efficiency.
  12. Use all of your fingers: Don’t rely on just a few fingers to do all of the typing. Use all ten fingers and assign each one to a specific set of keys. This will help you type faster and with greater accuracy.
  13. English typing practice tests: Take typing tests to measure your progress and identify areas where you need to improve. There are many free typing tests available online.
  14. Focus on rhythm: Try to develop a smooth and consistent typing rhythm. This will help you increase your typing speed and reduce mistakes.
  15. Use keyboard shortcuts: Learn keyboard shortcuts for commonly used functions like copy, paste, and undo. This will help you save time and increase your productivity.
  16. Find a typing buddy: Find a friend or family member who is also interested in learning English typing fast. You can practice together and motivate each other to improve.

Remember, learning to type quickly is a skill that takes time and effort to develop. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. With consistent practice and patience, you can become a fast and accurate typist.
