Overview of NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) screen reader:-
NVDA screen reader is a free “screen reader” that allows people who are blind and visually impaired to use computers. Reads text on screen with a computer voice. You can control what you read by moving the cursor to the correct text position with the mouse or arrows on your keyboard.
The tool can also convert text into braille if the computer user owns a device called a “braille display”. The app provides the key to education and employment for many blind people. It also provides access to social media, online shopping, banking, and news.
NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) works with Microsoft Windows You can download it to your PC, or to a USB stick that you can use with any computer. Screen readers are often expensive, making them unaffordable for most blind people. NVDA screen reader is free. Downloaded 70,000+ times, in 43 languages.

We do this because we believe that everyone, especially the poorest blind people in the world, deserves access to computers and a way out of poverty. Please note: NVDA screen reader is only available for PCs running Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 and later. If you need an NVDA software version that can run on Windows XP or Vista, please download the oldest NVDA 2021.2 for Windows XP instead. NV Access does not endorse or support the use of this older version in new operating systems.
